A unique opportunity to immerse yourself in experiencing life on the Lough Neagh south shoreline. First stop will be at Noreen’s Nettles where visitors will meet Noreen, a lady passionate about nettles and their nutritional properties. Noreen will treat visitors to a fifteens making demo while they enjoy a bowl of nettle soup and a get a chance to taste her newly released cordial. Then visitors will be transported to Coyles Cottage, a traditional fisherman’s thatched cottage, where Gary McErlain, a seventh generation eel fisherman will demonstrate the art of eel skin tanning and regale visitors with stories of his life on the Lough.
